is Cystinosis? Cystinosis is a genetic disease characterized by the accumulation of amino acid cystine in organs of the body eventually causing kidney disease. Symptoms such as excessive thirst and urination, failure to thrive, rickets, and episodes of dehydration begin in infantile Cystinosis between the ages of 6-18 months.
